Are you looking for an opportunity to build an enthusiastic volunteer team for a great cause? We need you!
Special Olympics of North Carolina (SONC) is looking for individuals who can tap into their local community to recruit volunteers to staff events for Special Olympic athletes in the Greenville area.
SONC helps thousands of intellectually disabled Carolinians gain self-confidence, achieve personal goals, and have fun through athletic endeavor. Whether you have experience in networking, volunteer management, fundraising, security, or just have a little spare time and want to do good, we need your help making our athletes’ dreams come true!
Our staff and existing management team will match your skills with SONC opportunities — no prior Special Olympics experience is necessary. We would pair you with an Event Planner to organize local athletic and fundraising events. We will schedule a call or meeting to discuss the opportunity with you further; Special Olympics NC Orientation and training can all be done online.
Time Commitment: Typically one day a week spread over your schedule. Training and meetings in advance of and during events may be needed as well.
